There are plenty of groups to choose, some are small some are larger, some allow pictures in feeds others only in comments and some are out and proud while others are a little more reserved. Check them out and pick the site that works best for you. Many if not all of these are closed groups and you will need to request to join them.
This list is never ending so I have listed the top 50 that had 100+ members and had a relevant description, many of the descriptions are only a snippet, to see more click on the name to go directly to the group.

PLEASE NOTE: While all these groups are fantastic, and are a wealth of knowledge shared by ostomates. It’s your responsibility to have any and all advice offered to you here checked with your medical practitioner and/or stomal therapy nurse before acting upon it.
Groups in no particular order:
WA Ostomy Support Group – This group is designed around ongoing support for ostomates, primarily in West Australia but open to any person who has been, will be or is an Ostomate (as in you have an Ostomy).
Ostomates in Oz – This is a facebook group for people in Australia (or wherever) to come and chat and share information about life with various ostomies.
Stoma warriors and babes with bags – This group is for women and men who are currently getting more comfortable with being public about their bag, either in wearing it more visible or just telling non-ostomates about it.
Young Ostomates United – We are an Australian-based non-profit organisation that aims to encourage support and friendship between young people with a stoma, their families and friends and to provide resource material to both new and well-established ostomates.
Stoma whinge and whine – To be a place of support for all and somewhere for people to vent and there will be no censorship on posts
Ostomyland – Ostomyland is an ostomy support website, message board community and Facebook support group network. Open to all ostomates, their partners, family or carers we will do our best to help you based upon our experiences of living with, or caring for an ostomy.
Male Ostomy and IBD – This group is for guys to come together in a male only environment to talk about life with IBD and a Stoma. A place to share some of those embarrassing stories and experiences in a group free of judgment. Somewhere for a good bit of lad banter and a refugee for advice and questions.
Making Ostomies Cool – This group has been set up to give members a space to share experiences and information, and to ask questions of others in a similar situation. We are keen for the group to remain a safe and welcoming environment for people to express themselves in… (See more on the page)
Ostomy and IBD – A group dedicated to people who have or are suffering IBD (Crohn’s/colitis) and have had or do have an ileostomy or colostomy bag.
Singles with Stomas – This group is for singles with a stoma(ileostomy, colostomy, urostomy) who would feel more relaxed with a partner or friend with the same issues.
Stoma Support Group – A stoma is an artificially created hole (stoma) in the abdomen so that waste can still leave the body. Some diseases, such as cancer, require the surgical removal of diseased portions of the bowel. The bowel may have to be rerouted through a stoma.
Ileostomy/Stoma Care & Info – This is a group for anyone with an ileostomy/stoma or anyone else who would like information and support on anything stoma related. This page will provide information, help, support and advice.
Stomawise Ostomy Support (SOS) – Stomawise is a charity is supported by companies that make ostomy products. Stomawise donates their educational and comforting Ostobears to the children undergoing ostomy surgery or to give help to Ostomates all over the UK.
Stomawise Little Ostomates – Part of the Stomawise Charity but a dedicated private support group for parents of Children with an Ostomy of any type.
Colostomy and Stoma Support Group – To give moral support and understanding and to share experiences with all those who have a colostomy or stoma, including their family’s. Mostly, to remind each other daily of how blessed we are at being given a second chance at life. LIFE IS PRECIOUS
Ileostomy/Stoma Girl Talk – This page is for adult girl talk. I recommend you are over the age of 18.

Crohns, Colitis & Bowel Support for Women – This group is for Women who have Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s or any type of Bowel illness. This includes Women who have Ostomies or J-pouches.
Stoma Selfie Awareness (NOT a general selfie group) – This Group welcomes all people regardless of age, race, religion etc. This group is a place to discuss and share your experiences and to educate people of a life with an ostomy. And/or want to show off their stomas and show everyone how they are getting on with there life’s and to ENCOURAGE others that it’s ok to show off your stoma to be proud.
Girls With Guts Private Forum – The mission of Girls With Guts is to empower girls and women with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s Disease & ulcerative colitis) and/or ostomies to share their stories of confidence and to promote self-esteem.
Ostomy Fashion – I want to share my ideas for comfortable yet stylish Ostomy outfits. I want to help ladies feel good about themselves again & not be worried about whether their bag is noticeable.
IBS Support Australia – This group is for the people of AUSTRALIA ONLY! It’s a place where we can come together and share our stories.
Australian Crohn’s, Colitis and IBD Support Group – A group for Australian and New Zealand people to share with each other about having Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and other IBD’s.
Stoma Centre Kenya – This group has been created to bring together ostomates and stoma caregivers, to encourage one another, to share experiences and information, and promote awareness and advocacy of stoma care in Kenya and East Africa.
Ostomy Canada Society – Ostomy Canada Society is a non-profit volunteer organisation dedicated to all people with an ostomy, and their families, helping them to live life to the fullest through support, education, collaboration, and advocacy.
Ostomy Angel’s Pantry – A way to connect people in need with FREE Ostomy supplies. Donated unused Ostomy supplies of any type to be made available to those that need them.
Shaz’s Ostomy Lounge – A place for those who have had/will have ileostomy, colostomy or urostomy surgery to come and chat and make friends. This group will enable ostomates to find each other easily.
Social Ostomy Support – This group is a place where you can chat with other Ostomates, post encouraging photos of exciting things you have done in life with your bag to help others realise you can do almost most anything.
